TABLE OF CONTENTS

1. Why is the FTP server being migrated?

The FTP server is being migrated to enhance the security and efficiency of data transfers and to ensure secure communication with Libri.

2. When will the migration take place?

The FTP server migration will be carried out in coordination with Libri. You will receive further information by email.

Once the migration has been successfully completed, please notify us at ftp-umstellung@libri.de.

3. What do publishers need to do to prepare for the migration?

Please update the FTP address in your system to the following address:

ftp-comm.librinet.de

If you have not received new login credentials, your existing username and password remain unchanged.

4. What is the new FTP adress?

The new FTP adress is: ftp-comm.librinet.de

5. Which services are affected by the migration?

This depends on your individual processes. The following directories on the FTP server are affected: H3 (Customer order forwarded to the publisher), PRM (Supplier’s electronic order confirmation), PRN (Electronic invoice from a supplier), and PLS (Publisher’s electronic delivery note).

In addition, SRD (daily trend data), SRF (billing files), and NSR (non-billing-related transaction data) are affected.

6. Will catalog data delivery or reporting be affected by FTP server migration?

No, nothing will change in that regard.

7. What happens if the FTP adress is not updated in time?

Once you have been migrated to the new server, order files will be provided exclusively via this server.
If you have any questions, please contact ftp-umstellung@libri.de.

For eBook billing, access to the previous FTP server will no longer be available once the new access credentials have been provided.
If any billing files are missing, please contact eContent@libri.de.

8. Who can assist with the migration?

If you work with a software service provider, please contact them first. For further questions or issues, our customer service team is available at ftp-umstellung@libri.de

9. Are there any technical requirements to be considered?

No. Only the FTP address must be updated. Usernames, passwords, and directory names are case-sensitive.

Exception: If you use ftp.librinet.de, you will receive new login credentials from Libri.

10. Can the old FTP adress still be used?

After the migration, the old FTP address must no longer be used for the migrated directories.
Please ensure that the new address is used to avoid service interruptions.

11. What needs to be considered when using a firewall?

DNS: ftp-comm.librinet.de -> Libri-DMZ-NLB-SG-d05e1a2e3cd05d81.elb.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com. Behind the load balancer, the following IP addresses are used: 35.158.58.1 (3.123.96.189, 3.120.107.101)

Two DMZs use fixed IP addresses that are returned in passive mode: 3.124.34.13, 3.68.58.115

Ports for passive mode and unencrypted transfer (FTP): 50000 – 50999

Ports for passive mode and FTP with TLS (FTPS): 51000 – 51999

12. What should be done if issues occur after the migration?

If you experience any issues after the migration, please contact our customer service team immediately at ftp-umstellung@libri.de. We will assist you in ensuring that your data transfers operate smoothly.

13. How long will data be available for retrieval on the new server?

After the migration to the new server, the data will be available for retrieval for 5 days. From day 6, the data will be deleted. Data must be retrieved within this period to avoid any issues.

14. How do I find the old server address?

You can find the old FTP server address in your FTP software’s settings. It will be one of the following: ftp.librinet.de, ftp3.librinet.de, ftp10.librinet.de, or ftp11.librinet.de
